On this episode of the KILTER&MINT podcast, I get l-l-local with Jennifer Varney, owner of Barre Fitness Port Moody. We chat about how she transitioned from professional dance to barre, creating the ideal schedule for life with kids, trusting your gut and how her parents' lifestyle influenced her and her brother's career path.
Jen is a born and raised Vancouverite and has been performing and teaching professionally for over 15 years. She's danced all over the world from LA to Tokyo. After many years traveling abroad as a professional dancer, Jennifer settled back into her hometown roots and began her teaching career as a dance instructor at various competitive studios in the lower mainland. She started as a client at Barre Fitness in Yaletown & North Van and it wasn’t long before she "just knew" that Barre Fitness meant more to her than just the workout. Jen's pride and joy are her two daughters whom you can catch scrubbing the floor at Barre Fitness Port Moody (just kidding on the cleaning the floors part).
